about me

Ambrose Hill is an evocative singer, songwriter, and producer who mixes an alluring blend of tribal influences, soulful R&B, and the pulse of London’s electronic scene. Drawing from his Nigerian heritage and inspired by the creative genius of UK icons like Maverick Sabre and Labrinth, Ambrose crafts a sound that is both captivating and unapologetically unique—a rarity in today’s musical landscape.

Ambrose’s production style spans an impressive spectrum, seamlessly shifting from hypnotic, afro-futuristic beats layered with haunting guitar riffs, like on his track “Silent Paparazzi,” to lush, melodic chord progressions on songs like “Main Stage” that leave listeners enchanted. His artistry redefines genre lines, pushing the boundaries of Afro, Amapiano, and R&B into immersive sonic experiences.

Born in London and raised in Kent from the age of seven, Ambrose was always back and forth between the two areas—balancing the open, expansive inspiration of the countryside with the vibrant energy of London’s music scene. He studied Music, Technology, & Performance at De Montfort in Leicester, which allowed him to refine his craft within a close-knit, culturally rich community. Bridging his eclectic influences into a singular, powerful voice.

Looking forward, Ambrose is poised to release his debut mixtape, “The Hills Have Eyes*”, a project that promises to elevate his artistry even further. Through a captivating short film and spoken word prelude, as well as tantalising glimpses into his creative process shared on social media, Ambrose Hill is building anticipation and setting the stage for an exciting ascent in the music world.
